Mridu is an interdisciplinary designer and a founding member of The Design Village institute. Since 2011, she has played an essential role in setting up and running the NCR design thinking college. Mridu wrote numerous research papers on behalf of the NCR college.
Her interactions inspire her projects and interests with people from various cultures and backgrounds. Design education, architecture, communication design, travel, and writing have influenced Sahai’s work.
These projects led her to kick-start her career with an architecture firm, Archohm, based out of Noida, India, in 2009. Currently a partner at Archohm, she leads the Design and Publication team. She worked on a range of projects – from the Development of Iconic sites like the Taj Mahal for the Ministry of Tourism to the visual identity for Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. In 2017, Mridu initiated Dtours_India – a curated design travel initiative for designers with a keen eye, students, professionals, and architecture enthusiasts with the premise of learning through experiences and exposure. Dtours India has now completed the various design and educational tours to Japan, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
Mridu contributes diligently to various design and architecture publications and forums to elevate the role of design and education in India.
