Artificial intelligence (AI) is a fundamental topic in modern science because it invites us to learn more about our own intelligence and subsequently about our minds. Specifically, AI invites us to think about how our minds/souls work and more deeply about what we are. So, it is fundamental to know objectively what AI really is and that its state of the art technology.
* Get students familiar with Human and Artificial Intelligence * Strengthen their critical, ethical, and constructive thinking towards this technology
Plan per Weeks
Week 1: Human Intelligence
* What is Human Intelligence? * 10 Types of Human Intelligence: * Logical-mathematical intelligence. * Linguistic intelligence. * Spatial Intelligence. * Musical Intelligence. * Bodily-kinesthetic Intelligence. * Intrapersonal Intelligence. * Interpersonal Intelligence. * Naturalistic intelligence.
Week 2:Artificial Intelligence
* What is Artificial Intelligence? * What is Local AI? * What is Global/General AI? * Program vs Intelligence (bot vs learning) * How does the mind work? * Conscious Mind * Unconscious Mind
Week 3: Artificial Intelligence Sources
* Science * Companies * Audiovisual arts (ie. Terminator) * AGI holistic test and other AI test
Week 4: Project’s Presentation
Choose a problem suggest a Human/Artificial Intelligence concept idea on how to tackle the following: Pandemic, World Hunger, etc.
Choose which intelligence is more useful to solve this issue: Human or AI? Constructive feedback on their ideas: Is it realistic? Can it work? Which area to focus on?
